Federal Election 2021 is over after only 36 days of campaigning and some $600-million plus later.
For the most part, the country is in the same ‘boat’ it was in prior to the election with only a very few minor changes.
The Liberal Government again retains a minority, with the Conservatives coming in second and surprising numbers for the Peoples Party of Canada (PPC). The Green Party also had a difficult time of it when their leader was soundly defeated in her riding in Toronto.
In Grey Bruce, the status quo was maintained as incumbents MP Ben
Lobb, Huron-Bruce and MP Alex Ruff, Bruce-Grey Owen Sound handily retained their seats with a 49 percent and 51 percent margin respectively.
