At the BBQ, numerous awards were handed out by Presidents Paul Thompson to deserving Lions Club members. Lion President Paul Thompson presented Lion John Mc Manus with a Melvin Jones Fellowship Award from Lions Clubs International, one of the highest awards a Lion can earn for dedication to Lions Club Lion President Paul Thompson presented Lion Immediate Past President Lee Fuller with a Helen Keller Fellowship from the Lions Homes for the Deaf for his unwavering support of the community and Lions causes. Lion President Paul Thompson presented Lions Steve Whitaker and Andrew Watson with Life Memberships in the Lions Foundation of Canada who train and provide Guide Dogs at no cost to the recipient.
