After working for Ontario Hydro and Ontario Power Generation for 33 years, Wednesday, February 23, 2022, will be Lynda Cain’s last day of work before retiring.
Cain retires as Senior Communications Advisor | Nuclear Waste Management Division of Ontario Power Generation (OPG).
“While the pandemic has limited send-off activities, I couldn’t leave without saying goodbye. While it’s a bittersweet feeling to be writing this, I am thankful for having the opportunity to meet and get to know so many of you and the groups you represent throughout Bruce County,” says Cain.

Cain started with Ontario Hydro in 1988 as an Exhibit Coordinator with the advertising group at 700 University Ave in Toronto.  “Those were the days – when we were in 365 home shows across the province each year.  I continued to work in Communications, in Toronto,  in many other positions, until settling and moving at the Bruce site for the last 15 years – my favourite stint by far.”
“I feel proud and honoured for having the opportunity to support OPG, Nuclear Waste Management and Nuclear Sustainability Services, over the years and hope I’ve made a positive impact in my time here and within the community.  These have been fun and rewarding times mostly because of all the people I’ve worked with. Please know the conversations in meetings, by email, phone and at community events all made my job even better – thanks for everything.

Editor’s NOTE:  Lynda was one of those who was always open and made recipients of OPG funding feel comfortable.  She also made everything easy for media as she had all the details prepared well before-hand of an event.
We wish Lynda all the best in her retirement.
