Friday the 13th was anything but unlucky for 7Acres in Tiverton.  The company (Supreme Cannabis) had a reason to celebrate after being approved by Health Canada to expand from 30,000 sq. ft. to 60,000.

The expansion means that flowering/growing rooms will double from three to six and it is anticipated that the number of employees will also grow from 180 to 500.

Ram Davloor, General Manager, told the employees, who had all gathered outside, that he expects the company to be in the top five producers of cannabis and that it is now listed in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba.  “In four short years, we have become an innotaor in the industry and it comes down to our own ingenuity, hard work, skill and leadership.”

He added that once the facility is completed with an additional 100,000 sq. ft. , there will be upwards of 600 employees with an added 20 to 40 in a technology centre in Goderich of 20 to 40 more people.
