Following Tuesday March 17th’s announcement by Premier Ford, the legion executive has made the decision to close Branch 183 Kincardine to the public until Mar 31st.
All legion functions, Bingo, gatherings and the club room are closed until that time. Catch the Ace draws have been suspended until then as well. No tickets will be on sale. We will re-evaluate whether to open or remain closed at that time based on local health and provincial guidelines.
If the COV19 crisis has been resolved by then, branch elections will be taking place on April 26th at 2:00 p.m. in the hall. Positions to be elected are Branch President, 1st Vice, 2nd Vice and 6 executive members. To run for president 1st or 2nd vice you need to have served on the executive for 1 year. To be eligible to be on the executive you must have been a legion member for one year. Any members wishing to run for any of the positions may let the nomination committee know of their intent. Nominations by any member will also be taken from the floor, on the day of the election.
Any legion member who has paid their 2019 dues may vote. Members must show their membership card.
