Be a Hunger Hero – Sharecrows are now in Kincardine

For 11 days this fall, scarecrows are turning into Sharecrows and they are now officially up!

Sharecrows started in Saugeen Shores during COVID as a safe, creative way for the community to come together. It has since grown into a ready-to-run, 12-day food drive that service clubs can host in their own towns. This fall, it’s running in four communities: Saugeen Shores, Kincardine, Welland and Petrolia.

The event is to not just feed people, but to feed community, creativity and change. Rotary, Lions, Optimist, KIN, Chambers, BIAs, and independent nonprofits – if your people care about their community, this was built for you.

Together, participating communities have raised $44,000 and collected 29 tonnes of food for local food banks.
