Bruce County hires new Director of Corporate Services

Edward Henley has been selected as the new Director of Corporate Services and will begin his new role with Bruce County on September 16th.

Henley has been employed in similar roles during his extensive career working in various professional and management capacities within both the private financial sector for 18-years including CIBC and the public sector for 13 years as Director of Finance / Treasurer working with Tofino, B.C. and most recently with Clearview Township since 2010.

Edward has proven ability to examine and evaluate processes to maximize financial resources and improve performance which has been recognized as a six-time GFOA Distinguished Budget Presentation Award recipient. “Edward’s hands on approach, communication and sense of humour will be a welcome addition as the Corporate Services team transitions to new leadership”, said Acting CAO, Murray Clarke.

Edward is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Certified Risk Manager and graduate of the University of Toronto, Bachelor of Arts (Political Science). Edward is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants, Canadian Risk Management, Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurer, Municipal Finance Officers’ Association and Simcoe County Clerks’ and Treasurers’ Association.

Edward is looking forward to relocating to Bruce County and exploring the many sites and trails as he cycles across the County.
