Bruce County Public Notice – COVID-19

Bruce County’s first and foremost objective is to ensure the safety of residents.

Using an overabundance of caution in the wake of COVID-19, programs offered at the Bruce County Museum & Cultural Centre, Bruce County Public Library Branches and the EarlyON Child and Family Centres will be cancelled from March 14 until April 5.

Bruce County Warden, Mitch Twolan, said, “We recognize the significant impact this decision will have on families and the broader community but are committed to ensuring the health and wellbeing of all citizens. This is a precautionary measure.”

Currently, the Grey Bruce Public Health Unit reports no cases in the Grey Bruce region, but the public is encouraged to stay up to date at www.publichealthgreybruce.on.ca.

Staff are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and Bruce County has emergency management practices in place.

The County recommends that the public follow the proper hygiene protocols outlined by the Provincial Medical Officer of Health:  https://www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel-coronavirus.

All County Offices will remain open until further notice.
