Bruce County is proud to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary dedication of our healthcare workers during National Nursing Week (May 12 to 18, 2025) and Personal Support Worker Day (May 19, 2025).
This week serves as an opportunity to honour the outstanding registered nurses, registered practical nurses, nurse practitioners and personal support workers who provide exceptional care every day in our long-term care homes, Gateway Haven and Brucelea Haven, and throughout all healthcare settings in our community.
At Gateway Haven and Brucelea Haven, our nurses and personal support workers play a central role in the strength and success of our long-term care communities. Their empathy and commitment to resident wellbeing reflect the highest standards of care and professionalism.
“Every day, our nurses and personal support workers provide care with heart, skill and dedication in our residents’ homes,” says Emily Kussmann, incoming director of Long-term Care and Senior Services. “They bring comfort, dignity and care to every resident. We are deeply grateful for all they do.”
Throughout Nursing Week and Personal Support Worker Day, both homes will take time to reflect on the invaluable contributions of our teams and celebrate.
Bruce County extends sincere thanks to all our nurses and personal support workers, not just during these important observances, but every day.
