As of March 30, 2020, the Province of Ontario has ordered the closure of all outdoor recreational amenities.
These include any communal or shared, public or private outdoor amenities including but not limited to: http://ow.ly/OO0I50z0KpW.
This will impact several assets within the Municipality of Kincardine including the outdoor track at the Davidson Centre, all local beaches and all facilities previously closed, including playgrounds and the dog park.
Please visit www.kincardine.ca/covid19 for a full list of closures. Signage is planned for all affected areas.
At this time per the Provincial order, green spaces in parks, trails (which at this time will include the boardwalk as part of the system), ravines and conservation areas that aren’t otherwise closed would remain open for walkthrough access, but individuals must maintain the safe physical distance of at least two metres apart from others. Additional closures may be warranted if social distancing is not being followed or if areas become gathering areas.
“We understand that exercise and being outdoors is a big part of our mental health” says Mayor Eadie “However, we need everyone to their part to stay safe and to keep their neighbours and community safe by practicing social and physical distancing”.

In addition, the Municipality will be extending the closure of all Municipal Facilities until further notice.
“We all have to do our part to flatten the curve and ensure the safety of our staff and community during this time” added Chief Administrative Office Sharon Chambers.
