Crime Stoppers is a civilian community organization devised to acquire information that assists law enforcement agencies in the resolution of crime. Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards of up to $2,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of criminals, recovery of stolen property and seizure of illegal drugs while maintaining total anonymity to the caller and complete confidentiality of the tip.
Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce and your local police services are asking for the public’s assistance in solving the following crimes:
- Crime Stoppers and the South Bruce OPP are seeking the public’s help in solving the theft of a dirt bike that occurred between October 30th and November 13th. An orange and black 2006 KTM 250 SXF dirt bike was removed from a locked shed at a residential property along the Greenock-Brant Townline. The dirt bike has a large “Jagermeister” sticker and a custom made kick stand, and is valued at $3,000.
- Crime Stoppers and the West Grey Police Service are seeking the public’s help in solving multiple break and enters that occurred overnight on November 4th, and then again overnight on November 5th, at a property on Concession 12 NDR near Grey Road 3 in the Township of Bentinck. Multiple buildings on this property have been broken into over the past few months, and the investigation is ongoing.
- Crime Stoppers and the South Bruce OPP are seeking the public’s help in solving the theft of an ATV that occurred between November 7th and November 9th. A white 2015 Polaris Sportsman 570 ATV was removed from a property on Sideroad 25 North in Arran-Elderslie. The ATV is equipped with a front brush guard and wrenching aftermarket tires; has a small crack in the front plastic body, and is valued at $6,500.
- Crime Stoppers and the South Bruce OPP are seeking the public’s help in solving an act of mischief to property that took place between November 17th at 10:00 p.m. and November 18th at 6:00 a.m. on Chepstow Road, in which four Community Safety Zone signs were cut down with a chainsaw.
- Crime Stoppers and the South Bruce OPP are seeking the public’s help in solving the theft of a baby stroller that took place between November 17th and December 1st. A 2016 black and gray Peg Perego book pop up stroller and bassinet combination, valued at $1,000, was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle on Ludgard Street in Lucknow.
- Crime Stoppers and the South Bruce OPP are seeking the public’s help in solving a break, enter, and theft of tools that occurred between November 23rd at 6:30 p.m. and November 24th at 7:30 a.m. Persons unknown entered into residential units under construction on Durham Street in the Municipality of Kincardine and stole a variety of tools, including a green Bull 5-gallon canister air compressor; a yellow and black 16 gauge Dewalt pin nailer; and a blue and black Primatech Q550 ALR floor nailer.
- Crime Stoppers and the West Grey Police Service are seeking the public’s help in solving a series of thefts that occurred on the evening of November 27th when a barn on West Grey Concession 18 was broken into. Police arrived and began following the suspects’ fresh snowmobile tracks leading down the Normanby-Bentinck Townline, when they received a report of two males in the process of stealing fuel from a property along the Townline. As police approached the property, the suspects fled on the snowmobile toward Hanover, where they thenstole fuel from the Shell gas station at the corner of Grey Road 28 and Grey Road 10 before fleeing once again.
- Crime Stoppers and the South Bruce OPP are seeking the public’s help in solving a break, enter, and theft of tools that occurred between November 28th at 4:00 p.m. and November 29th at 12:00 p.m. when a residence on Langside Street in Huron-Kinloss was entered. Stolen was a black snowmobile helmet; a black and red snowmobile helmet; an All Trade 3/8 inch socket set; and a blue bag containing assorted Mastercraft brand screwdrivers. The total value of the stolen items is $130.
- Crime Stoppers and the Bruce Peninsula OPP are seeking the public’s help in solving a threat with a weapon that took place on November 30th at 11:00 p.m. Police were called to an apartment on Berford Street in Wiarton after three males attended with a weapon and made a threat. The apartment occupants were uninjured. Police have no evidence to suggest there is any threat to the public. One of the males has been identified however the other two males remain unidentified, with the first suspect described as 5’6″ with a skinny build; and the second suspect described as 5’8″ with a skinny build, receding hair line, wearing a t-shirt with a colourful jersey over top, basketball shorts, and a flat brimmed cap.
