Forbes names Bruce Power as one of Canada’s Best Employers

Bruce Power once again has been named among Canada’s Best Employers by Forbes, an award based on an independent survey of more than 40,000 Canadian employees.

The annual ranking, which Forbes created in partnership with market research firm Statista, is based primarily on a survey of people working for Canadian companies and institutions that employ at least 500 individuals.

Survey respondents were asked to rate their employer based on a range of criteria, including salary, gender pay-equity, work flexibility, opportunities for promotion and on-the-job training. Participants were also asked if they would recommend their employer to others and were given the chance to rate other employers in their respective industries.

“It is a proud moment knowing that Bruce Power was once again selected by its employees and others as one of Canada’s Best Employers,” said Karen Smith, Vice-President and Chief Human Resources Officer. “Our employees take pride in the work they do in providing clean electricity for Ontario and cancer-fighting medical isotopes to the world health-care community.

“As a company, we’re committed to support our employees by investing in their careers through comprehensive training, mentoring, support programs, pay and benefits. Our Life-Extension Program will support career opportunities for decades to come.”
