Huron-Kinloss announces 2023 Community Well-Being Program Recipients

The Township of Huron-Kinloss received 24 applications from organizations interested in receiving 2023 Community Well-Being Program (CWBP) funding.

The CWBP provides funding for projects and services that will have a positive impact on the community and are run by local organizations within the Township. The total project funding requests surpassed $147,000 for the 2023 program.

Since its inception in 2018, the Community Well-Being Program has dispersed over $400,000 to local organizations.

The program committee, made up of Mary Rose Walden, Chief Administrative Officer, Michelle Goetz, Manager of Strategic Initiatives, Jodi MacArthur, Treasurer and Don Murray, Mayor, reviewed the applications on April 28th, 2023, and awarded $100,000 in community grants.

The successful applicants were invited to take part in a photo-op on June 7th, and the full list has been released on the Huron-Kinloss website for public viewing. Congratulations to all the recipients!

Special thanks to the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) for their continued support with this initiative.
