Huron Shores Hospice joins Giving Tuesday Movement on December 1st with a matching offer

Huron Shores Hospice is participating in Giving Tuesday on December 1, 2020 to provide quality end-of-life care in our community.

The Society of United Professionals has very generously offered to match, $1 for $1, all donations up to a total of $5,000.00.

“The Society of United Professionals is pleased to support the important work being done by Huron Shores Hospice, looking after end-of-life care for the residents of south Bruce County. This is a valuable service for our local community. We are proud to support this initiative as a demonstration of our vision that unions build stronger communities,” said Mike Gade, Vice President of the Society of United Professionals.

Giving Tuesday is a global movement that celebrates generosity by bringing communities together. “We believe that everyone in our community deserves the right to die with dignity and compassion, supported by family members, in the community in which they live,” said Cheryl Cottrill, Co-Chair of Huron Shores Hospice. “With event fundraising dollars reduced by $55,000 in 2020, we are hoping that Giving Tuesday will help with this shortfall. We are so appreciative of the Society of United Professionals’ offer to match donations, providing double the impact for each donation.”

As a Giving Tuesday partner, Huron Shores Hospice hopes to help increase the spirit of giving in the local community. “We couldn’t do what we do without the support of our community,” Cottrill said. “Please join us to help ensure quality end-of-life care for residents of south Bruce County by donating at”
