Congratulations to the 50/50 winner from the Scottish Festival, Trina Smith won $1262.00. This draw was run by the legion with proceeds going to the Scottish Festival and the legion.
If you are just in the area for the summer and you love trivia then why not come out on July 20 and see how you make out with this months questions. The fun starts at 7pm in the hall. Perfect size for a team is 8 to 10 people but if you don’t have a team come out and join one.
There will be a shuffleboard tournament at the legion during the reunion, Thursday August 2nd to Monday August 6th. This will be a single elimination tournament. The sign-up sheet is at the legion bar. The entry fee is $10, the maximum number of teams will be 32.
Do you enjoy nine holes of golf and have a bit of a competitive spirit? Well then maybe you should consider signing up for the annual legion golf tournament. It will be held on August 19th at the Kincardine Golf course with a shotgun start at 1pm. Cost is $50 for members $55 for non members. The entire team must pay together when registering. If you want to use a golf cart you must call the Kincardine Golf Course to make arrangements 396-2112.
If you missed out on the music nights during the beginning of the month you still have some chances to enjoy our talented local musicians. The next jam session will be July 20th and the fiddlers will be in the clubhouse on July 24.
The legion is open Monday to Friday from noon to 10pm, Saturdays from noon to 6pm. You do not have to be a member to come enjoy the activities that are at the legion, or come by and checkout the clubhouse. We also have a patio were you can get together with friends and enjoy the lovely summer weather.
