Wow! the Jam sessions which started in the red room as a few musicians getting together has had to move down into the hall. Last session had 15 musicians playing and around 40 people listening to the music. If you would like to come out for one of these great night’s they will be on Friday June 7th and Friday June 28th.
Family Dinner for June will be on Sunday June 9th. Cate will be making roast pork and roast beef along with roasted potatoes and veggies and dessert. Family dinner is from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Seniors (65+) $13, Adults $15, children(6-10yrs) $10, children under 5 are free family rate (2adults + 2 children) $45.
The Air Cadets are going to see the play ‘You’ll Get Use To It – The War Show’, on Friday June 28th 2:00 pm. We have 24 seats available on the bus. If any legion members would like to get tickets and join us, we would love to have you come along. For more info call 519-396-2115.
Fiddle day has passed but the Fiddlers are still in the clubhouse every other Tuesday. The dates in June are the 11th and 25th. I know they love having people come to the legion to hear them play, so if you are free one of those nights come out around 7:00 p.m. and enjoy.
Find yourself with some free time on a Saturday afternoon? Why not check out the meat draw in the clubroom. Tickets go on sale at 2:30 and are good for all 8 draws. The first draw is at 3pm and they take place every 15 minutes. The meat is purchased from The Beefway.
The Ace of Spades has not been found and the progressive pot is up over $6,000 if you find the ace. Draws take place on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. and we are happy to be teamed up with Special Olympics this time around. Catch the Ace tickets are sold at In Style Hair studio, Sleepers bed gallery, Jean’s Restaurant, Esso on Queen, Edward Fuels and the Legion Bar. Tickets go on sale on Thursday afternoon for the following week’s draw, at all outlets. If you missed getting your ticket at your favourite outlet before they were gathered up, they are available for last minute sales at the legion bar if there are tickets available, until a couple minutes before the draw.
