Kincardine Legion Corner: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 183

On Thursday August 8th there will be no Bingo and no hamburgers that night. There is a private function in the hall that day.

Congratulations to Laura Haight and Nancy Stewart who won the District C golf tournament and came in first. They advance to the provincial golf tournament.

The Johnny Cash tribute show is coming to the legion on August 31 tickets are $20 each. Do you have yours yet? They are available at the legion bar.

The Ace of Spades has yet to be found in our Catch the Ace draws. The progressive jackpot should be over $12,000.00. What would you do if you won that? I’m sure we all have somewhere we could spend it, but if you don’t buy a ticket you won’t have a chance. Tickets may be purchased at the legion bar, Jean’s restaurant, Sleeper’s bed Gallery, In Style, Esso on Queen, Edward Fuels and Bob’s Dogs. Special Olympics are going to be benefitting from this round of Catch the Ace.

If you have been enjoying the different music nights at the legion there are more nights coming up in August. The fiddler’s will be in the clubhouse on the 6th and 20th, and the jam sessions in the hall will be on the 9th and 23rd. Everyone is welcome to come enjoy the music from these talented people.

The legion is open Monday to Friday noon to 10pm and Saturday’s noon to 6pm. Why not drop in and see what is happening at the legion.
