The Clerk of the Municipality of Kincardine has issued the Official List of Certified Candidates for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections. Candidates could submit their nominations from May 1st, 2022, until 2 p.m. on Nomination Day Friday, August 19, 2022.
The Clerk certified 19 candidates in total for the nine (9) Council races:

After the candidates were certified, the Clerk declared Beth Blackwell and Doug Kennedy elected by acclamation to the office of Councillor Ward 1. The Declaration of Acclamation to Office is made when the number of certified candidates for the office is the same as the number to be elected. Residents of Ward 1 please note that these candidates will not appear on the ballot as they have been elected.
The races for School Board trustees saw candidates certified in each of the four school boards – Bluewater District School Board, Bruce-Grey Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire Viamonde, and Conseil scolaire catholique Providence. The School Board Candidate that you are registered to vote for will appear on your unique ballot.
The Municipal and School Board Elections will take place by telephone and internet between October 17, 2022, at 9 a.m. and October 24, 2022, at 8 p.m.
Voters may update their information or be added to the Voter’s List beginning September 1, 2022.
