Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre is celebrating March break with a wide variety of activities each day.
The week began on Monday, March 13th, with ‘Deep Dive’. Program Director, Evan Vatri brought to visitors a look into the items from by-gone years that were brought to the area by pioneers as they settled in the region.
Then, on March 14th, it was the Baker Magic Show … a hilarious show of magic that appealed to all ages. In a filled-to-capacity Bruce Power theatre crowd, Steve Baker, entertained both kids and parents with his interactive show that includes magic with humour.
A former teacher, he and his wife managed a theatre in the Toronto area of Scarborough before he became entranced by the world of magic and science. It is obvious he has teacher skills as he understands how to hold the youngsters in the audience interactive and the parents entertained.
Today, he performs the Baker Magic Show and also the Baker Magic Science show where he razzle-dazzles the audience of all ages with feats of magic.
Today, Wednesday March 15th, the Museum presents another day of March Break activities. ‘Speaking of Wildlife’ at 11:00 a.m. will bring some of Canada’s most fascinating wildlife to an in-person, up-close look and to learn how they live and the important role they play in the environment. It’s a chance to see and touch animals that are important in the ecosystem.
