Municipality of Kincardine invites you to “Municipal Matters”

The Municipality of Kincardine invites residents and local businesses to
Municipal Matters – a meeting that offers direct access to elected officials and staff to discuss community priorities.

This initiative supports the communications policy Council approved in August
2025 to strengthen service, communication, and public engagement.

The first Municipal Matters meeting took place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at the Whitney Crawford Community Centre in Tiverton, from 8:00 – 9:30 a.m. and the second session will be in Kincardine on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the Miller Room at the Davidson Centre.

The sessions are to focus on upcoming changes to the Blue Box recycling program, featuring a presentation by Mark O’Leary, Manager of Environmental Services. Mayor Craig will also be in attendance to support and explain decisions of Council, provide updates, answer questions, and hear directly from attendees.

A festive hot chocolate bar and treats will be available for guests as part of this interactive community conversation.

“These meetings are about creating more opportunities for our community to connect with the Municipality so we can share timely information, answer questions, and hear firsthand what matters most to the people we serve,” said Mayor Kenneth Craig.

Looking ahead, the Municipality will host Municipal Matters meetings and will engage residents to identify questions and topics to address in future meetings. The goal is to ensure that these sessions reflect the interests and priorities of the community while maintaining a transparent and direct line of communication with staff and Council. “What matters to you, matters to us.”
