NWMO Invites South Bruce Residents to Tour the Mobile Learn More Centre

The Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) is excited to bring their Mobile Learn More Centre to communities throughout South Bruce. This is an excellent opportunity for residents to ask questions and learn about Canada’s plan for the safe, long-term management of used nuclear fuel.

The NWMO Mobile Learn More Centre is an interactive, one-stop-shop for residents to learn about Canada’s plan to safely manage used nuclear fuel

The exhibit will be traveling throughout South Bruce from September 22 to September 29 (excluding Sunday) with hours of operation from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

Throughout the Mobile Learn More Centre you will find informative and exciting exhibits, models, diagrams and 3D displays. By coming to visit us, you will learn more about regulatory processes, geology, the environment, safety and much more. NWMO subject matter experts will be more than happy to answer questions and discuss the project with you!

“We are looking forward to bringing the Mobile Learn More Centre to the people of South Bruce, closer to where they live,” says Cherie Leslie, Senior Engagement Advisor, Southern Ontario. “We are excited to utilize the exhibit to engage with residents in-person and hope to see many of them take advantage of this opportunity as it travels throughout the Municipality.”

To ensure we are in line with public health guidelines and abiding by social distancing measures, plans will be in place to protect the safety and well-being of the people we engage with.
