Port Elgin BEACH RESTRICTIONS FOR FIREWORKS

A section of the Port Elgin Main Beach will be closed to the public on Saturday, July 21st, as Bruce Power prepares for its Block Party fireworks scheduled for that evening.

An area of the beach between the Beach House Washrooms and Beachside Cafe (west of the wooden boardwalk) will be closed beginning at 8am to enable fireworks technicians to setup. This perimeter will be expanded at 8pm to ensure public safety during the fireworks display. The washrooms and Beachside Cafe will remain accessible all day. The Beachside Cafe parking lot and parking spaces beside the beach volleyball courts will be available until 8pm.

Barricades and signage will be set up around the restricted area. The public is reminded that the fireworks can be viewed from many locations including the Harbour Pier and Promenade, North Shore Park, the flea market area, and Gobles Grove Beach.
