Keith and Linda Battler have pledged to donate $250 to Huron Shores Hospice for every house listed with Keith in 2021. Keith Battler is a Broker with Royal LePage Exchange Reality Co. in Kincardine.
He expressed his family’s appreciation for Huron Shores Hospice after a family member passed away there in 2020. “You don’t understand the importance and significance of the hospice until it touches you personally. We were so fortunate to experience the quality care and comfort provided by Huron Shores Hospice when my sister-in-law needed end-of-life support. This donation is our way of supporting someone else’s home away from home when they need end-of-life care.”
Huron Shores Hospice is a charitable not-for-profit, volunteer-led, community-funded residential hospice, providing free quality end-of-life care, at no cost, to residents of Saugeen Shores, Kincardine and Huron-Kinloss and surrounding areas. Huron Shores Hospice also provides free programs for Grief Recovery, End of Life Doula services, Death Cafes and End-of-Life Planning workshops.
“We simply cannot thank the Battler family enough for their tremendous support,” said Cheryl Cottrill, Co-Chair of Huron Shores Hospice. “What a great way to start the New Year knowing we have this donation in place. It always warms our hearts when our families want to give back after spending time with us in hospice care. This donation will help with the added expenses that will arise with the opening of the second suite scheduled in the first quarter of 2021.”
