On Saturday, October 21st, 2023, Kincardine will be recognizing and celebrating Afro Caribbean youth living in Grey and Bruce Counties.
The award ceremony will take place at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine and will feature internationally recognized poet Dwayne Morgan, a two-time Canadian National Poetry Slam Champion. The topic of Mr. Morgan’s keynote will be “Inspiring Courageous Conversations.” Registration for this event is now open. All are welcome to come celebrate and enjoy good fellowship with one another. If you know of an Afro Caribbean youth between the ages of 5 and 25 years of age, there is still time to nominate. You can nominate a youth online or request a paper copy of the form. The window to make a nomination closes September 22.
