
The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is holding a six-week Youth in Policing Academy beginning in March.
This is an interactive opportunity for youth in Grade 10-12 who reside in the Southern Bruce County area to learn more about policing. Topics covered include general patrol duties, major criminal investigations, canine services, emergency response, forensic identification, collision reconstruction, and impaired driving investigations.

The program will be held at the South Bruce OPP Kincardine detachment on Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 p.m., beginning April 22nd, 2026, and concluding May 27th, 2026.

Applications are available at either South Bruce OPP detachment locations: 700 Kincardine Avenue, Kincardine or 25 Bruce Road 19, Walkerton. They must be dropped off in person at the detachment, valid photo identification will need to be presented at that time.
The deadline for the application is April 10th, 2026. Successful applicants will be notified by email.
