
On the morning of September 10, emergency services responded to a structure fire at a multi-unit residential building at 550 Montgomery Lane in Lucknow. The fire was quickly contained, and all residents have since safely returned to their homes.
At approximately 8:45 a.m., Township of Huron-Kinloss Fire and Emergency Services were dispatched following reports of smoke from one of the units. Upon arrival, fire crews initiated a swift and coordinated response, successfully containing the fire and preventing it from spreading. Mutual aid partners, the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), and Victim Services provided critical support during the operation.
As a safety precaution, approximately 50 residents were temporarily displaced. A shelter was quickly established, and Township staff provided immediate support services. Victim Services was also on site to assist residents with additional supports and resources. By 1:00 p.m., it was deemed safe for all residents to return home.
There were no reported injuries, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
