There were woofs aplenty at Trillium Court retirement home in Kincardine as they celebrated National Dog Day on Wednesday, August 29th (2018).
National Dog Day is observed annually on August 26th to encourage dog ownership of all breeds, mixed and pure, and to embrace the opportunity for all dogs to live a happy, safe and abuse-free life. Dogs give us companionship; they keep us safe, and they aid those in need.
‘Lucky’ the resident charmer adopted by the home sometimes took exception to other four-legged visitors but, on the whole, everyone got along.
It was also a chance for a four-legged, furry visitor to have a photo taken with his/her owner to raise funds for the Lions’ Club Guide Dog program and to also donate some food for the Lucknow Pet Rescue facility.
