Two swans in Huron County’s Hullett Marsh Provincial Wildlife Area near Clinton were shot around October 10, 2025.
With help from a concerned hunter, Conservation Officers with the Ministry of Natural Resources officers located a deceased swan near hunting stake 17, in Zone A.
A second swan was then seen swimming in the area with a broken wing and was later confirmed deceased.
The Ministry of Natural Resources takes this matter seriously and is working to identify those responsible.
Officers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible and asks that if anyone has any information that could assist the investigation, to call the MNRF TIPS line at 1-877-847-7667, your local ministry office, or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS.
