The winter weather travel advisory has, in fact, been upgraded from a Special Weather Statement that was previously in effect at snowfall is expected in excess of 10cm.

The snow associated with the storm system is expected to move into parts of southern Ontario on Tuesday and may be heavy at times before changing to rain later in the day.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow and followed by anticipated rain.
