It was hot and sunny on the weekend of September 15th and 16th, perfect for everyone who strolled the Huron Campground at MacGregor Point Park taking in the annual outdoor art show, Wild for the Arts.
From silver jewellery to paintings, woodworks to photography, music and more, it was an opportunity to explore the many art forms and a chance to meet and talk with the artists.
This year’s Artist in Residence was painter David Doyle of Mitchell (ON). Doyle, a retired teacher from Avon Maitland District School Baord has been painting for more than 30 years.
Doyle’s specialty of creating landscaped in watercolours and, when he’s not exhibiting, he teaches painting and works from his studio in Mitchell.
Art does not recognize age and, for young Saugeen Shores District School Board (SSDS) student , Mackenzie Kruiderink, who studied with teacher Mrs. Sanagan, the show gave her the chance to sell one of her original paintings.
The music tent provided a wide variety of musical entertainment over the two days
