The Main Entrance of the Ripley-Huron Community Centre has been temporality closed as construction begins for the facility’s renovations until further notice.
During the renovations, the Community Centre’s Main Entrance will be closed and renters and patrons are asked to use the East Entrance Door, located to the right of the Main Entrance, 17 Queen Street, Ripley, ON.
In 2021, the Community Centre was approved for a Community Building Fund-Capital grant through the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The funds are being used to renovate the main entrance of the Ripley-Huron Community Centre to improve the flow of traffic, including new touchless and accessible doors. The renovations also include adding two new accessible dressing rooms.
The Community Centre is used by a variety of community organizations for hockey and figure skating, in addition to meetings, celebrations and fundraisers. Thanks to the work being done with the grant, people of all abilities will have improved access to the building.
The Township of Huron-Kinloss is committed to preserving this space and ensuring that it remains accessible for many community activities over the course of the year.
