Kincardine driver facing impaired driving-related charges

A Kincardine resident is facing impaired driving-related charges following a stop conducted by Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at approximately 12:09 a.m., a Grey Bruce OPP officer on proactive patrol located a vehicle running, parked on the shoulder of Grey Road 4 near Westback Line, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. Officers stopped to check on the driver, which led to an impaired driving investigation.

A 51‑year‑old male of Kincardine has been charged with the following criminal code offences:

• Operation while Impaired – Alcohol

• Operation while Impaired – 80 plus

A 90‑day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (ADLS) and a seven‑day vehicle impoundment were initiated as per statute.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on June 4, 2026.
