Crime Stoppers Grey-Bruce: All tip submissions suspended following data breach

Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce has temporarily suspended all tip submissions—effective immediately and until further notice—following a data security breach involving its third-party tip management platform, P3 Tips (managed by Navigate360).
Submissions via phone, online web and the P3 Tips app are currently suspended.
Numerous police services and regional Crime Stoppers chapters across Canada—including Toronto, Winnipeg, Ottawa, London, Windsor, Guelph, North Bay, and Grey-Bruce — have suspended their use of Crime Stoppers and advised the public not to submit tips through the platform.

According to Crime Stoppers, CBC News and reports, it was revealed that “… over 1.5 million tips submitted to Canadian Crime Stoppers programs over the past 25 years were exposed, including tens of thousands of unredacted personal details (such as names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails of tipsters or individuals named in tips).”

In Toronto alone, more than 176,000–179,000 tips submitted between 2022 and 2025 were compromised, including thousands with personal information.

Alternative Reporting: Police services are urging residents to contact police directly or use non-emergency local hotlines if they need to report crimes or public safety concerns, while also noting however, that direct calls may not offer the same anonymous protections.

Further updates on service restoration will be posted on the Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce Home Page.
