Many gathered in Port Elgin’s North Shore Park on Sunday, September 13th (2026) for the annual fundraiser, Walk it for Parkinson’s.

Saugeen Shores Mayor, Luke Charbonneau and Kincardine Mayor Kenneth Craig joined together to extol the services that the Parkinson’s Society provides for those with the disease.
Walk it for Parkinson’s is the major fundraising event to support people with Parkinson’s and their families in Southwestern Ontario. All funds raised stay LOCAL and support people in their own communities.
At the end of the walk in Saugeen Shores’ North Shore park, more than $9,000 was raised.
