Bruce County launches 2026 Starter Company Plus program to support local entrepreneurs

Bruce County announces the launch of the 2026-27 Starter Company Plus program, a training and grant initiative that helps entrepreneurs start, expand or purchase a business in Bruce County. Delivered through Business to Bruce in partnership with the Province of Ontario, the program offers business training, networking opportunities, and the chance to apply for a grant of up to $5,000.

Starter Company Plus equips participants with practical skills and support in areas such as business planning, marketing, financial management and operations, while connecting them with experienced mentors and fellow entrepreneurs.

To be considered for the program, entrepreneurs must attend one of four virtual information sessions:

  • September 14 from 6 to 7 p.m.
  • September 18 from 12 to 1 p.m.
  • September 23 from 6 to 7 p.m.
  • September 26 from 2 to 3 p.m.

Participants will then go on to complete the program’s mandatory training components before becoming eligible to apply for grant funding.

Full program details, eligibility requirements and information session registration are available at businesstobruce.com/starter-company-plus.
