Huron Shores Hospice opens Serenity the third hospice suite

Huron-Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson was on hand as Huron Shores Hospice celebrated the official opening of Serenity, its third residential hospice suite at Tiverton Park Manor, on October 23, 2026.

                                    Speaker MPP Lisa Thompson

The opening has expanded Huron Shores Hospice’s capacity to provide compassionate end-of-life care to residents and families across the region at no-cost.

Chosen through a community survey, the name Serenity reflects the peace, comfort, safety and respect community members envisioned for the new space. Joining the existing suites, Trillium and Tranquility, Serenity offers a welcoming, home-like environment where residents and loved ones can spend meaningful time together.

Thoughtfully designed to support connection and comfort, the suite includes an accessible ensuite bathroom and shower, space for family gatherings and meals, and a cuddle bed that allows loved ones to rest close together. Every detail reflects Huron Shores Hospice’s commitment to dignity, personal choice and compassionate care.

Their collective support has transformed a vision into a space where residents and families can feel at home during one of life’s most meaningful and challenging chapters.

Huron Shores Hospice provides residential end-of-life care at no cost to residents and their families. The addition of Serenity strengthens the organization’s commitment to ensuring compassionate care remains accessible close to home.

Huron Shores Hospice extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to bringing Serenity to life. Together, the community has created a space where comfort, connection and meaningful moments can continue to matter.
