Beach Access Update in Kincardine

On May 28, 2020 Municipality of Kincardine Council has received notification from Dr. Ian Arra, the Grey Bruce Medical Officer of Health, that he has rescinded his order that was issued on May 15, 2020 ordering municipalities to close all beach and shore access in Grey and Bruce Counties.

As the order has been lifted, beach access will be permitted under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act, and individuals may continue to walk through or use areas of beaches, for example, to exercise or walk pets. This is similar to our municipal parks and trails.

Municipality of Kincardine Council will be discussing the matter further at their meeting of Monday, June 1, 2020.

Limits regarding gatherings of more than 5 people, as well physical distancing protocols are still in place. Residents are also reminded that dogs must be leashed at all times and stoop & scoop rules continue to apply.

All residents are encouraged to do their part in the fight again COVID-19 – stay in your primary residences, avoid non-essential travel, leave your home for only essential purposes (groceries, medication) and practice social distancing wherever you are.
