Carol Rencheck, a dedicated volunteer with Huron Shores Hospice, will be inducted into the June Callwood Circle of Outstanding Hospice Volunteers, by Hospice Palliative Care Ontario.
This prestigious award celebrates exceptional volunteers who demonstrate compassion, generosity of spirit, selfless service, and a commitment to excellence in hospice care.
Since 2017, Rencheck has been a passionate advocate for compassionate end-of-life care at Huron Shores Hospice. Serving as co-chairperson and actively contributing to the executive, finance, fund-raising, and governance committees, she has been a steady source of leadership, care, and professionalism.
Organizer and Chair of the Hospice Foundation, Carol Rencheck, said that it’s the incredible support of the community and over 200 sponsors that will sustain the Hospice well into the future. “We have provided compassionate end-of-life care to 128 families.
Beyond her board responsibilities, she provides comforting bedside support to residents, warmly welcomes families during admissions, and tirelessly educates the community about hospice care. She is also a key volunteer in fund-raising efforts, particularly as a lead Handbags for Hospice volunteer and expert of designer handbags.
The staff and volunteers at Huron Shores Hospice extend their heartfelt congratulations to Rencheck for this well-deserved recognition. Her dedication, kindness, and leadership inspire them all and touch every corner of the community.
Rencheck’s accomplishment will be celebrated, alongside other award recipients, at the Hospice Palliative Care Ontario conference later this month.
