Feathered friends search for cold-weather food

Winter for some is more difficult than for others.  Winged species can find it particularly stressful in the search for food.

As the temperature drops and the snow begins to fly most of the migratory birds have headed south for warmth and food. However, there are still a number of feathered friends that stay around through the winter months.

Homeowner, J. McDowall, near Elsinore (ON) says that woodpeckers are at the feeders every day, particularly, given the dramatic fall in temperatures that has blanketed the region.
