Township of Huron-Kinloss Beaches Open

Effective Immediately: As per today’s press release from the Grey Bruce Health Unit Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Ian Arra, rescinding the order for municipalities to close all beaches in Grey and Bruce Counties, the beaches in Huron-Kinloss are now OPEN.

Beaches
The beaches and shoreline in Huron-Kinloss are OPEN to walk through, to swim, exercise or walk pets or use areas of beaches that are not otherwise prohibited from use or closed (play equipment swings, slides, splash pads).

Individuals are encouraged to maintain a safe physical distance of at least two metres from others and to remember that under the Emergency Management and Civil Protection Act restrictions on gatherings of more than five people outside of your current household remains in effect.

All public washrooms remain CLOSED. Open Air Fires

All open air burning including recreational fires and beach fires are now PERMITTED

Outdoor Sports Facilities, Multi-Use Fields and Dog Park
The following outdoor sports facilities and multi-use fields are OPEN for casual use only, including:

  • Baseball diamonds, Soccer fields
  • Tennis courts
  • Basketball courts, Skate parks
  • Benches, picnic tables and gazebos
  • Point Clark off-leash Dog Park

    A reminder to allow for physical distancing when using outdoor amenities, maintain a two-meter distance from others, bring your own hand sanitizer, avoid touching your face and stay home if feeling unwell. Restrictions on gatherings of more than five people outside of your current household remains.
