Kincardine Council wants public feedback

As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, many businesses across the Municipality suffered incredible financial loss due to the public health restrictions put in place by the Province of Ontario.

In an effort to provide support for local businesses, the Queen Street Promenade was created for the summer of 2020. Queen Street was closed to vehicles from North of Durham Market Street North to Lambton Street, Friday evenings through Sunday evening, weekly throughout July & August to support opportunities for physical distancing, greater economic potential and adherence to public health protocols.

As this was a pilot project, the Council of the Municipality of Kincardine is looking for the input of the public to assist with planning for the 2021 summer season. It is through public feedback that issues can be identified from last years event, and solutions applied where possible, including accessibility, dates of closure and geography of closure area.

The survey will be available by visiting www.kincardinetalks.ca, and will be accessible from Thursday February 11, 2021 through Saturday February 20, 2021 at 10:00am.
