On Saturday June 23 there was some fantastic track and field happening at the Davidson Center during the Legion District C track and field meet. Some of our local athletes who competed and how they did were as follows.
13 and under girls Hayley Pawlin- 1st in high jump Cecilia Travale- 2nd in the high jump, 9th in long jump Jasmine Boer – 1st in long jump, 2nd 300m race, 3rd in 200m race
15 and under girls Maya Hunter- 2nd 100m, 3rd high jump, 3rd 80m hurdles Ann Morariu – 2nd 1200m, 3rd 2000m
13 and under boys Justine Shields-1st high jump, 5th 100m Aiden Renaud- 5th long jump Tyler Groves-2nd triple jump, 4th long jump, 7th 1200m
15 and under boys Benjamin Brewer- 1st discuss, 1st shot put Bennett Ford -3rd javelin Cameron Renaud-6th long jump
Congratulations everyone and job well done.
July family dinner will be held on July 8th 4:30 to 6pm. Everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy a wonderful meal and maybe catch up with some people you haven’t seen for a while.
The fiddlers will be performing on July 10th and 24th in the clubroom starting at 7 pm, if you haven’t been out to listen to them you’re missing out on a great night of music.
Burgers before bingo are back. Come out and grab a burger between 5 and 7pm on Thursday nights. Since you’re already at the legion why not stay and play bingo. It’s a fun night out and who knows you might even win.
The legion patio is open during legion hours for you to enjoy this lovely weather, why not get a group together and check it out.
