Hope everyone is enjoying their summer whether you are on vacation or having to work. There are lots of things going on at the legion for you to enjoy and participate in.
Trivia will be taking place in the hall on Friday July 19 at 7pm. Laura works hard on finding facts that could be a challenge for some but not others. The subjects vary so even if you don’t know much about one thing you might ace the next. Grab some friends and come down to the legion for a fun night.
If you are in the area on vacation and enjoy listening to fiddle music come to the legion on Tuesday July 23 at 7pm. The local fiddlers will be performing in the clubhouse, they provide a wonderful evening of music.
Saturday afternoons at 3pm is the time of the first draw for our meat draw. Tickets are on sale at 2:30 and your tickets are good for all 8 draws that afternoon. The draws happen every 15 minutes. You can come and enjoy the company of others, maybe sit out on the patio. You are welcome to play shuffleboard, cards or maybe pool, they will find you if you bought tickets so you can claim your prize.
Tickets for the Johnny Cash tribute show are selling well make sure you get to the legion bar to buy yours, so you aren’t disappointed. The show is on Saturday August 31, tickets are $20.
The Ace of Spades has yet to be found in our Catch the Ace draws. The progressive jackpot is over $10,000.00. What would you do if you won that? I’m sure we all have somewhere we could spend it, but if you don’t buy a ticket you won’t have a chance. Tickets may be purchased at the legion bar, Jean’s restaurant, Sleeper’s bed Gallery, In Style, Esso on Queen and Edward Fuels. Special Olympics are going to be benefitting from this round of Catch the Ace.
