Kincardine Legion Corner: Royal Canadian Legion Branch 183

We are over halfway through February, but there are many things happening at the legion to help you get out of the house this winter.

Saturday afternoon there is always a meat draw going on in the clubroom. You buy tickets that are good for 8 draws for meat. If your ticket is drawn you get to choose from the meat prizes, what you would like. If you have never come out to a meat draw why not check it out some Saturday afternoon the first draw takes place at 3pm.

Finlaggan will be performing at the Kincardine Legion on March 21st. This will be a Transatlantic of Odyssey of Celtic Music. Tickets are $25 and available at the legion bar. Doors open at 7pm music begins at 8pm. Don’t delay get your tickets before their gone.

Thursday nights are bingo nights at the legion doors open at 6pm and the games start at 7pm with the first 5 being the double daub quickies. Don’t have enough time between work and bingo to grab supper? You can always get some chili, or sandwiches in the hall or go up to the bar and order some of the bar grub. That means you don’t have to cook, and you get a fun night out to play bingo.

Just want to drop by with some friends and catch up, we have lots of space for you to do that. Maybe you would like to play shuffleboard, darts or pool you have those options as well.

The Ace of Spades was not found during week #14’s draw, the progressive jackpot is now over $6400.00 so make sure you get a ticket, they are on sale Thursday.

Catch the Ace tickets are available at the legion bar, Jean’s Restaurant, The Beefway, In Style Hair Salon, Sleeper’s Bed Gallery, Edward Fuels, and the Hospital Foundation office. The more tickets we sell the higher the weekly and progressive jackpots will be. The higher the jackpots the more money for the hospital foundation. Make sure you get out and get your tickets … let’s help the foundation who in turn helps all of us.
