The Municipality of Kincardine is very pleased to announce that Council has approved an agreement with Dr. Catherine Ciszkowski to take up her medical practice in the Municipality of Kincardine, commencing January 2019 .
Dr. Ciszkowski completed her medical degree at McMaster University in Hamilton in 2013 and finished her family medicine residency training via Western University’s regional training program in 2015.
She has helped author several publications, including a communication published in the medical journal, New England Journal of Medicine . Prior to initiating her medical studies, she completed her Master’s Degree at Western University, where her research interests focused on the ability of a person’s genetics to affect drug safety, primarily in breastfeeding mothers.
Dr Ciszkowski looks forward to moving to the Kincardine area with her husband as both enjoy spending time enjoying the wealth of natural resources that the Kincardine and Bruce Peninsula area has to offer.
The Kincardine Physicians Group shares, “We are very pleased that Dr. Ciszkowski will be opening a practice in January 2019. The community is growing rapidly and it is wonderful to have an extra doctor join our team. At this time, there are no plans for Dr. Ci szkowski to take over Dr. Blecher’s practice as we hope to recruit another doctor prior to January 2019.
The current Kincardine physicians will be sharing coverage of Dr. Blecher’s practice, patients should receive notice of their (interim) doctor by mid July . This way, we can clearly define who is responsible for blood – work, test results, and prescriptions. This process will eliminate the need of an orphan clinic
Please realize that this will inconvenience all patients in our practices and there will be greater wait times for appointments. However, it is the only way we can take care of those in most need of a physician while we actively recruit.
If Dr. Blecher was your doctor, but you have found another doctor, please inform the clinic so we can remove your name from his list
For example, if you live in Lucknow Municipality of Kincardine 1475 Concession 5, R .R.#5 KINCARDINE, Ontario N2Z 2X6 Phone: (519) 396 3468 and have the fortune to join the practice of the new doctor in that community, please let our office know”.
