Kincardine Waste Management Centre closed

The Waste Management Centre will be closed until April 5, 2020 to the general public to allow preventative measures to be put in place to protect staff and the public. Access to our general contractors will be made available; please contact the Waste Management Centre to arrange site access.

The Municipality of Kincardine has received notice from Bruce Area Solid Waste Recycling on March 24, 2020 that they will be disposing of recycling at the Municipal landfill until the end of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This was done due to safety concerns regarding the handling of individual waste items required for recycling. The health and safety of their employees is their top priority.

Cardboard bin collection at the Tiverton Public Library (56 King Street) and Parking Lot Soccer Fields (440 Bruce Ave East) locations will remain ongoing in the interim unless BASWR begins to encounter contamination issues.

The Municipality of Kincardine are encouraging residents, if they can, to hold their recyclables at home until the recycling pick up resumes. If you can not do this, recycling will be picked up as regularly scheduled and will be landfilled. This coincides with the practices that our neighbouring communities, Saugeen Shores and Huron-Kinloss, are implementing.
