Margaret Gwendolyne Stubley – June 27, 2019

January 6, 1935 to June 27, 2019

Gwen was the beloved wife of Phil for 63 years, and the loving mother of Michael (Heather) Stubley of Cochrane, Alberta, and Colleen (Mark) Langridge of Port Elgin, Ontario. Gwen was a dear grandmother to Nicole (Richard) and Samantha (Edis), and James, Craig (Tina), Laura (Edward), Emily, Graham, and Eric Langridge. Gwen was blessed with two great grandchildren, Everett and Caleb, and several nieces and nephews. Gwen was the cherished sister of Barbara Young of Port Elgin and Cecil (Jess) Johnstone of St. George. Gwen was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Clarke Johnstone, her brother-in-law Herb Young and by her granddaughter Georgia Stubley.

Gwen’s quiet and gentle ways will be missed by all who knew her. Gwen’s family, faith and friends were deeply important to her. She enjoyed life at the cottage in Port Elgin, travelling with Phil, walking her dogs and sketching and painting to express the beauty she saw in nature.

Cremation has been entrusted to Grey Bruce Cremation and Burial Services. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Port Elgin Missionary Church, 650 Green Street, Port Elgin on Sunday, July 7th at 4 p.m.

If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society Grey-Bruce Support Group. The family wishes to thank the staff at Trillium Court Residence in Kincardine for the exceptionally kind care of Gwen during her last 3½ years.
