OPP charge three Impaired drivers

On June 8, 2024, at 4:03 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a collision on Highway 9 near Sideroad 10 in the Municipality of Kincardine.

 

The involved driver fled on foot but was quickly located by officers. The driver displayed signs of impairment. Officers believed that the driver was impaired and placed under arrest. Witness’ in the area report the driver was operating the motor vehicle aggressively just prior to the collision.

 A 34-year-old, from the Township of Huron- Kinloss was charged with:

  • Failure or refusal to comply with demand.
  • Dangerous operation
  • Fail to remain at the scene of a collision.

The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested two impaired drivers in Walkerton. One driver was arrested as a result at a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoint, the second driver officer was spotted on patrol by an officer.

On June 7, 2024, members of the South Bruce OPP were conducting a RIDE checkpoint in Walkerton in the Municipality of Brockton. At approximately 12:50 a.m., police stopped a vehicle to check the sobriety of the driver, they were displaying signs of impairment. The driver was placed under arrest and taken to a Qualified Breath Technician for breath tests.

A 22-year-old, from the Municipality of Brockton was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

On June 7, 2024, at approximately 3:28 a.m., a driver was stopped by a member of the South Bruce OPP on patrol on Victoria Street South in Walkerton in the Municipality of Brockton. The driver displayed signs of impairment.

A 37-year-old, from the Municipality of Brockton was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
