Officers from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment and South Bruce (OPP) Detachment were on hand in Lucknow to help kick off the annual Project Red Ribbon Campaign.

Project Red Ribbon is an annual awareness campaign to promote sober driving during the holiday season.
On November 12, 2025, OPP officers along with volunteers from the Huron-Bruce Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) chapter conducted a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program in Lucknow to create awareness and detect potential impaired drivers.
It was great news on both sides. Officers are happy to report that approximately 100 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, and everyone was found to be complying and driving in a sober condition.
Huron-Bruce MADD recently celebrated its 30th anniversary as a chapter dedicated to the mission to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime.
