Power outages due to weather expected to continue today

Hydro One shows outages spread out across the Bruce peninsula to several municipalities in Bruce County as well as Owen Sound as a result of high winds.

According to Hydro One, crews are out in full force this morning responding as quickly and safely as possible to outages caused by damaging high winds that continue to affect parts of the province. Additional outages are expected today as high winds continue throughout the day.

The highest winds are expected along the lakeshore of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay, along with parts of northeastern Ontario. Outages are largely being caused by severe winds bringing down trees and branches onto distribution lines.
